Ein farbenfrohes Hallo an Dich! (english version below)

Bei Dir ist er vielleicht schon lange raus oder steht er noch? Der Weihnachtsbaum?

Meiner ist diese Woche zum Fenster raus geflogen. Es wird nun Zeit, Platz für Neues zu machen. . .

Bei mir wird sich so einiges ändern, ich werde mit meinem Atelier in einen anderen Raum umziehen und dieser muss noch vorbereitet werden. Für mich heißt das, alles raus räumen, Tapete abmachen, alles tapezieren und dann wieder einrichten.

Zudem habe ich angefangen Videos zu machen, was mich zu meinem nächsten Schritt bringt! Ich werde mir einen Youtube-Kanal einrichten und meine Arbeiten und mich mehr in Bild und Ton zeigen.

So viel ist bei mir diese Woche nicht passiert, deswegen möchte noch mal auf den Weihnachtsbaum zurückkommen. Beim Abschmücken habe ich mir nochmal etwas über die Geschichten von Weihnachten angehört und bin dabei über den Fliegenpilz gestolpert. Es hat mich schon immer gewundert, warum ausgerechnet der giftige Fliegenpilz ein Glückspilz sein soll und warum er an manchen Weihnachtsbäumen und Kränzen als Schmuck hängt???Auch seine Farben, die immer wieder überall auftauchen. . . . (An meinem Kranz übrigens auch, bei Dir auch?)

Der Fliegenpilz soll vor langer Zeit eine wichtige kulturelle Rolle für die Menschen in meiner Gegend gespielt haben. Ich dachte immer, er würde so heißen, weil er früher in Milch eingelegt wurde, um Fliegen zu töten. Anscheinend stimmt das überhaupt nicht, weil der Pilz angeblich eher betäubt oder die Fliegen auf einen Trip geschickt hat. Soooooo tödlich soll er gar nicht sein, ist er also eher ein Drogenpilz? Mein Paps erzählte mir dann, das er früher auch gern gegessen worden ist, man muss jedoch wissen, wie man ihn ordentlich zubereiten muss. Wirklich interessant, wie altes Wissen einfach verdrängt wird, auch mit dem Bezug zu Weihnachten, wo er anscheint, als getrockneter Pilz verschenkt worden ist.

Es gibt bei Youtube einige hörenswerte Beiträge dazu. Vielleicht werde ich dieses Jahr im Herbst auf Fliegenpilzjagt gehen??? Ich werde mich darüber genauer informieren und wenn ich welche finde, zu Weihnachten einen Fliegenpilz-Tee ausprobieren.

For you, it may have been out for a long time or is it still there?

The Christmas tree?

Mine fell out the window this week. It's time to make room for something new. . .

A lot will change for me, I will move my studio to another room and this still has to be prepared. For me that means clearing everything out, taking off the wallpaper, papering everything and then setting it up again.

I've also started making videos, which brings me to my next step! I will set up a YouTube channel and show my work and myself more in pictures and sound.

Not that much happened to me this week, so I want to come back to the Christmas tree. While I removed the decoration of the tree, I listened to some more Christmas stories and stumbled across the toadstool. I've always wondered why this poisonous toadstool should be a fungus for the lucky owns and why it hangs on some Christmas trees and wreaths as a decoration??? . . . (On my wreath too, by the way, and yours?)

The toadstool is said to have played an important cultural role for the people in my area long ago. I always thought it was called that way because it used to be put in milk to kill flies. Apparently that's not true at all, as the fungus is said to be more of a sedative or a drug trip for the flies. So it's a very dangerous fungus but not extreme deadly, is it more of a drug fungus? My dad then told me that it used to be eaten, but you have to know how to prepare it properly. Really interesting how old knowledge is simply suppressed, also with the reference to Christmas, where it seems to have been given away as a dried mushroom gift.

There are a few posts on YouTube that are worth listening to. Maybe I'll go to get a few toadstools this fall??? I'll find out more about it and if I find any, I'll try a toadstool tea for Christmas.
